Slots Glossary
The following definitions will help you
understand some of the terms used in our slots guide:
Carry over stake: Applies only to
the High risk reward plan and refers to the residuals
from previous losing sessions. You may carry over any
or all of the balance of the losing stakes, but you
should never start any session unless you have the required
bankroll to complete that session without breaking into
your winnings.
Coins: As most of the major slot machines
originate in the U.S. this will indicate either dollars
or quarters, the U.K equivalent of which would be pounds
and increments of 30p.
Daily stake: The amount
of funds required to carry out the work plan on dollar
and quarter slots.
Defence strategy: Once
you reach the sixth session, if you have lost 60% of
your original stake, switch to the ultra conservative,
fixed stake, single coin play.
Exit plan: Indicates when and how
to quit i.e. whether there is a fixed exit strategy
or whether there are several which vary depending on
hit amounts and frequencies.
Machine sessions: The
number of sessions played in a day.
Per session: Minimum and maximum amounts
for each session. The letters PC indicate which plans
have a provision for playing a portion of accumulated
credits before exiting.
Play credits: Indicates which plans
allow for using accumulated credits when chasing a winning
hit.
Played: The number of spins and timing
for double coin play. These will vary depending on the
trigger. The appropriate response is identified by the
trigger number. The abbreviation CS is used where double
coin play is for consecutive spins. G stands for the
gap between consecutive spins when the total number
of spins is broken into sections.
Risk factor: Broad assessment
of the risks of each plan.
Target slots: The type
of machine at which your strategy is aimed.
Triggers: The circumstances that will
dictate whether to switch from single coin to double
coin play.
Win goal: Expressed as a percentage
of the minimum stake, each plan has a realistic goal
for winning on a daily basis and foe each three-day
visit.
Work time: The amount of time spent
at each machine. The two figures reflect either likely
spin rates for the faster players or the impact of a
greater number of losing sessions.
